The key holiday dates
Christmas Eve on 24 December 2026 is a statutory holiday; Christmas Day is Friday and 26 December is Saturday. Prepare essential shopping and check meals and transport separately for each day.

Christmas programme status
When checked on 29 August 2026, Krynica-Zdrój's official events calendar did not yet publish a December 2026 programme. The market page for 13–14 December 2025 proves a historical event, not a repeat. Wait for a current city notice before adding the market to the itinerary.

Where to stay in winter
Deptak / the spa centre keeps more destinations within walking range and gives an easier fallback. Czarny Potok and Słotwiny suit a mountain or ski plan but require access and operator checks. Tylicz is a separate locality with its own last mile.

Arrival and last mile
Check the complete rail or bus journey, any replacement service and the route from the station to the exact address. Outside the centre, confirm the holiday return and do not assume that an ordinary weekday timetable will apply.

Mountains without promises
Mountain lifts, slopes and trails depend on operators, weather and ground conditions. Do not treat snow, an open route or a particular time as guaranteed. Keep a Deptak, pump-room or museum day available after rechecking its opening hours.

Pre-travel checklist
Confirm heating, the route in icy conditions, parking or transport, holiday meals, cancellation, check-in and the property's emergency contact. Recheck weather warnings and operator notices the day before travelling.
